Divisions posted

We are in Monday 3. Seems a bit low, but conversely we’re a year older and slower. We’ll see. I suspect – knock on wood – we’ll be up to Div 2 in no time.

Sunday Practice?

It was alot of fun to get out and throw the disc around last Sunday.  We had about half of our team out and hooked up with the Thursday night team “Looking to Score” for some easy drills and a scrimmage.  I am planning to go out again this Sunday morning – same time 11:00 am, same place Douglas Park (north-east corner).  The weather looks promising.  I hope as many of you as possible can join me.  Jay Lin’s team will be there again also if we want to get another scrimmage in.   -adieu, W

Buying the War

Highly recommended: This PBS documentary by Bill Moyers – Buying the War – can be viewed online in entirety at the link.

Everyone but Rod

Everyone has waivered, except Mr. Moore. In other news: The VUL is apparently having a serious meltdown with it’s computer system. Expect weirdness. Also, the team will be buying Julie’s shirt back (only worn once).

Beginning of Season

I’m calling the first Squid meeting of the season.  Monday, Apr. 23 6:15 PM – Douglas Park.  Bring your cleats.  This will be a season warm-up to start throwing the disc around again after a long rainy winter.  Attendance is optional, but several of you have already expressed interest so if we have enough squid we may be able to set up a scrimmage against another team out practicing.  If anybody has a drill or two that they would like to run, you are welcome to set it up.    NOTE:  WE WILL RESCHEDULE IF CANUCKS/STARS GO TO 7
